The Power of the Sun:
*** Kids, please don’t set fire to your Toys without Adult supervision!
Solar Energy is Energy from the sun that is converted into Thermal or Electrical energy:
Passive and Active methods define the ways Solar Energy is captured, converted and distributed to create Solar Power.
Passive techniques involve orienting a building to the sun to allow sunlight to enter and help heat a space, while Active techniques use Photovoltaic Panels and Solar Thermal collectors to harness Solar Energy and convert it to Electrical Energy.
Solar Energy is considered an Alternative Energy because it does not use up a natural resource or harm the Environment.
The uses of Solar Energy are limited only by our human ingenuity. We intend to cover the new Active Technological Advances in this field, Solar Products, and Passive Techniques of harnessing the sun’s heat through Alternative Architectural Design.
