Various stages can be seen on the main house Earthship roof, from Solar Panels on the left, to Green Pro-Panel sheets, to insulated roof, to unfinished roof on the right.

Here’s a shot of my Roofing ‘Buddy’ I mentioned yesterday, working to fit the ‘origami metal’ roofing panels around the vent boxes.

After yesterday’s wrestling match with drill and roofing panel screws, I would joke when one would work without a hitch, and shout out ‘Smooth like Butter!’ … Little did I know my roof mate actually had a shirt for the occasion, which she promptly wore to encourage us today.

While batteries got loaded up on top of the roof of the main house Earthship, Greenhouse grey water planter trenches are dug below.

Meanwhile at the smaller Studio Earthship, the crew is working on a floor cement pour in the pattern of a sunrise.

A lot of effort, however the pattern also allows the cement pour to be done in manageable pieces. I’m sure the final effect will be stunning.

After two and a half weeks, volunteer interns are still smiling, and actually excited to see the daily progress of everything coming together on this build.
