Previous Candida Journal Post…

It’s day two and no one has died yet. Oh that’s right.  I’ve sequestered myself here in a cabin in the middle of the ‘Great White Nowhere’ so that the human race will be safe from me.  Everyone except my cat and sweeti who may not remain my sweetie for much longer.  Bless ‘er ‘art for not walking on my derriere.  In fact the lovely gal that she is she is ‘supporting’ my efforts by eating some meals along with me so that I won’t be as tempted.  Again, I start my day with a glass of lemon water, Acidophilus and Herbals 20 minutes before eating.

Homemade Guacamole + Rice Chips + a Cup of  Curried Turkey Soup with Wild Rice leftover from yesterday.

Dinner:

2 day Marinated Steak + Spinach Salad + Creamy Garlic Dressing

Spinach and Veggie Salad: Baby Spinach leaves, bits of cauliflower, broccoli, red pepper, cucumber, walnut pieces, red onion minced, zucchini match sticks

Oh my gawd was this a good steak.  Tender…like butter and flavourful.  In the Eating Alive: Prevention Thru Good Digestion handbook I would have gotten top marks for protein + veggies.  Apparently this is good food combining and makes it easy for the body to break down as there are no Contradicting Digestive Enzymes canceling each other out, thus causing flatulence or bloating.  In my family it’s dangerous to stay in the room with us after a meal as we could take the roof off.  Seriously, what gave it away eh?  So if anything I can say bad food combining was passed down generationally.  Your parents can’t teach you what they don’t know either.

Munchies:

Dried salted peas

Fizzy Bubbala (unsweetened apple juice* plus sparkling water)

I’m so predictable aren’t I?  It’s all good that I’m a creature of habit and when I like something I can like it practically every day.  Reminds me of when I was in Jr. High and had the same cheese sandwich with mayo on white bread every day…but the bread had to be fresh.  Hey, I had my standards.

(This concludes our broadcast day.)

*Tomatoes, Chick peas, Apples, and Coconut were the only ones in question for the Candida Cleanse. I didn’t find out concretely until day 10 that these were on the NO List. So until day 10, I included them in my diet, especially Tomatoes, as they were the basis for so many dishes. They are okay to include, however, in later stages of the Cleanse.
