Candida Cleanse Day 10, Acidophilus Loses to Antibiotics, Apples Defeat the Grapefruits

…Previous Candida Journal Post

Candida Albicans, commonly known as yeast, a normal component of the body, ordinarily lives in harmony with Acidophilus, the ‘Good Bacteria’, that aids digestion and elimination. But Antibiotics, Hormones, Birth Control Pills, and Steroids can SUPPRESS Acidophilus, allowing Yeast to grow unchecked.  This yeast reacts just as does the yeast used in baking.  When warm water and sugar are added to commercial yeast, it bubbles up so rapidly it almost seems to explode.Yeast acts in much the same way in your body if the Internal Flora is unbalanced.”- From the book The Candida Directory and Cookbook   by Helen Gustafson & Maureen O’Shea.

That reminds me…to take my Acidophilus to restore the balance between the baddies and the goodies.  I know.. I’ve gotta stop being so technical. Funny, I’m looking at that list of all the things that can cause the two to go out of balance with each other, and I’m saying check, check, check, check.  Guess I don’t have to wonder how it is that I got to be here.

Tips: Did you know there are more Carbs in a Grapefruit than in an Apple? Me neither. When you get to the point in your cleansing where you have monitored that at least 50% of your symptoms have gone away, then you can proceed to introducing a few new items back into your diet.  Where fruits are concerned the Lowest Carbs belong to Lemons, Limes, Avocados, Plums, and Peaches.
