Competition for the Candida.
Candida thinks it’s such a bad ass but there is a new kid in town. Lactobacillus acidophilus/Bifidus is stored in my fridge right now as I write this (and thank god I am writing this because I don’t think I can pronounce that first word).
There is a delicate balance between the Good and Bad Yeast in our body although both belong there. When out of balance Candida Albicans flourishes out of control causing all the symptoms that make us feel like hell. To regain balance the good yeast must be reintroduced.
Sugars found naturally in vegetables called Saccharides don’t act the same as processed sugar or fructose or glucose for that matter as they don’t stimulate the production of yeasts. They do however offer nutrients to assist the good bacteria listed above (acidophilus n’ bifidus) so eats your Spinach says Popeye the sailor man…toot toot.
Something I’ve read about but haven’t yet tried is NAG short for N-Acetyl-D-Glucosamine. It protects your intestinal walls by enhancing the ability of the beneficial bacteria like Bifidus to attach to them while simultaneously inhibiting the ability of Canadida albicans to do the same. Sounds a little bit like favouritism to me but since we aren’t talking sports teams here I think it’s ok to give ourselves the edge.
