Coping with Roommates.
If you are embarking on a Candida cleanse and live with roommates (including family members) it will be a lot easier if they are willing to support you in your endeavors so you must ask for that help. Of course it is you who is on this cleanse, not them, so while we can’t expect everyone to participate to the same degree, it would simplify the grocery shopping and the meal planning if they would join you in some meals.
For example, if there is a soup, stew, or casserole that you all like but they’d really like mushrooms in theirs….ask if you can prepare the mushrooms on the side so they can add that separately. In this way everyone can eat a meal together. If they are willing to join you for dinner during the week (but do their own thing for breakfast and lunch) with a reprieve for themselves to have pizza on the weekends…that is a compromise that would help.
However you slice it (get it…reference back to the pizza which we can’t have- sigh.. my subconscious works overtime on bad puns) any measure of participation on their part is better than none. There is no right or wrong way to do this..whatever works for you.
