I’m sitting here topless as I write this bit.

Monica’s got the wood stove cranked to the rafters, and she’s thrilled as being 5000 degrees above centigrade is her happy place, however I’m melting into a puddle.

I have the best job (that doesn’t pay anything) in the world sitting at my kitchen table, doing research and writing about it.  I love it.  I hope you’re getting a little something out of this relationship too.  I guess that’s what you’d call gratitude.

Do you know what a wonderful way to start and end your day with to make you feel great is?  It’s called the ‘Gratitude Diary’ and this is how it works.

Every morning before you rise and every night before you go to sleep ask yourself to answer this simple question.  ‘What 5 things do I have in my
life right now that I noticed today that gave me joy, gratitude, appreciation, or a good feeling?’

You will find yourself ‘noticing’ things going on around you as the day progresses with a lot more frequency as your Subconscious actually ‘looks’ for things throughout your day to report back to you.  It is a great way to stay grounded and feel good about what you have in your life rather than focusing on what you don’t have…..like Chocolate for example.

Pre-Breakfast:

Acidophilus + Herbals

Sunday Brunch:

Sauteed Pepper and Onion Omelette, Suitable for a Candida Cleanse, image by Monica HolyCoffee, Latte, a food not allowed in the Candida Diet, for the article 'Dietary Rules for a Candida Cleanse', by Nicole Chayka, for Middle Earth Home

Soy cheese Omelette with sauteed peppers and Roasted Garlic (yum!)
Coffee with Organic Milk and Stevia

Yes I made a decision to treat myself for Brunch and what an amazing discovery!  My taste buds are so much keener. Monica insists she didn’t make the coffee nearly as strong as we were accustomed to in the past, however it was very flavourful to me nonetheless. No, I’m not reintroducing coffee into my diet on a full time basis but I gave myself a Sunday brunch treat and I enjoyed it thoroughly!

There’s one for the gratitude diary.
