Whewwwwwww!!!  It’s officially 3 weeks and I’m still going strong.
The cravings are manageable.  I haven’t wanted to decapitate anyone in my
haste to get to the country store.  In fact I haven’t gone shopping for food except on ‘grocery days’.  I think that is in part Key.  Staying home where I can entertain guests (guests who bring moose salami are pretty cool) and offer them what I am eating seems to be an easier way to handle the whole socializing thing.

Thankfully my posse understands and supports what I’m trying to do so they adopt the attitude of ‘When in Rome do as the Romans do.” at meal time.  I suppose I should take it as a compliment that they loved my Roasted Butternut Squash Soup even though I made it with one hand tied behind my back (where ingredients are concerned).

So the moral of the story is that you can still entertain, and even cook meals for your guests that you too can partake of that are flavourful.  No one need know you are on a cleanse. Maybe they’ll think you are just ‘clean living’ instead.
