Pineapples effect on meat.
As they say on the East Coast of Canada…’Lord tunder’n Yesus boi’ –Last night my pork chops damn near disintegrated. Seriously I tossed fresh pineapple into a blender with a few Thai spices and poured the mixture over top the tray of pork chops to marinade them and guess wot?! They broke down.
It was the texture of velvet in my mouth which was confusing to my mouth to say the least. I had been warned that pineapples tenderized in a serious way but seriously…I did not expect this. Fair warning to those of you reading this, and a note to self: 4 hours is more than enough time to marinate a slab of meat in the Enzymes of one pineapple. If you chose to do an overnighter I fear your dinner will look like a transporter accident on the set of Star Trek. Seriously…
