I, Nikki, am Blogging my crazy thoughts and cravings during my on-going Candida Cleanse, in a step by step journal titled The Candida Chronicles , so I can share with you the Dietary Rules (below), the Meal Plans and Recipes, the Tips and Facts, and most importantly, the RESULTS. If I can lick this problem, letting ‘Food be my Medicine’ and only using Herbals then you can too!

Here are the Dietary Rules for a Candida Cleanse:
Eat nothing that feeds or supports Yeast, nothing fermented, or anything that attracts Mold. Nothing that aggravates a Common Food Allergy. All foods are Organic and any animal products must have no Antibiotics or Steroids.
Starting with the No No’s:
- No nuts or seeds (mold)
- No mushrooms (a fungus/mold)
- No vinegars save apple cider vinegar
- Nothing with vinegar (ex. pickles etc.)
- Nothing with fruit whatsoever
- No dairy save plain yogurt and ghee (butter)
- Nothing fermented like soy sauce or beer
- No booze
- No caffeine stimulants (such as coffee, tea, hot chocolate, pop)
- Nothing sweet be it natural or man made-honey, syrups, molasses etc. (only Stevia)
- No wheat products
- Nothing with YEAST in it
- No Corn, carrots, potatoes, beets or high in sugar vegetable
- No MSG (bouillons)
- No hot spices
By now you may be wondering…well what the hell can I have then?
Here are the YES’s:
- Herbal teas, decaffeinated
- Vegetable cocktail
- Carbonated water
- Lemons/Limes
- Plain Yogurt
- Ghee (clarified butter)
- Rice Cheese, Soy cheese
- Rice plain milk
- Flours to bake with: Millet, Brown Rice, Amaranth, Buckwheat, Quinoa
- Pasta/Roti/Flat breads or Crackers/Cereal/Crepes can be made from above
- Meats: Chicken, Turkey, Fish (not shell fish), Beef, Lamb, Goat
- Garlic, Onions, Ginger to flavour
- Olive oil, grape-seed oil, coconut oil, sunflower oil, sesame seed oil
- Apple cider Vinegar
- Stevia
- Herbs
- Spices
- Curry paste
- Kelp
- Braggs (unfermented) sauce
- Yellow mustard
- Veganese mayo
- Avocados
- Spinach
- Lettuce
- Celery
- Green Beans
- Zucchini
- Eggplant
- Radishes
- Cucumbers
- Broccoli
- Cauliflower
- Green & brightly colored peppers
- Green/Red/Yellow onions, chives
- Sprouts
- Spaghetti squash
- Pumpkin squash
- Peas
- All Green Leafy Veges (chlorophyll)
- *Chick peas
- *Apples, unsweetened apple sauce and juice
- *Unsweetened coconut meat and milk
*Tomatoes, chick peas, apples, and coconut were the only ones in question here. I didn’t find out concretely until day 10 that these were on the NO List. So until day 10, I included them in my diet, especially Tomatoes, as they were the basis for so many dishes. They are okay to include, however, in later stages of the Cleanse.
