It’s happening already.

Peer pressure. We are such a Food Oriented Society.  It’s only when you are on a cleanse or a diet that you realize how much the social scene revolves around ‘Nosh’.  I’m not opposed to the notion, I’m not.  It’s wonderful how we incorporate all that foodie lusciousness in with ‘Celebrating’ but right now it’s a pain in my ‘petootie’.  Anytime I leave the house I either have to arrive ‘packing’, or if my ‘Host’ decides they wish to supply dinner it means getting into a looooooong discussion about what I can and cannot have.  Drag for me.  Drag for them.

There are all sorts of restaurants out there who cater to the Heart Smart Crowd, Vegans, Diabetics, and even Celiac Sensitivities… (5 years ago I hadn’t even heard of Celiac disease) so maybe there is hope for us yeastie types out there.  Till then I suppose I will have to Cruise the Menu asking for Substitutions and hoping my waiter doesn’t think I’m such a pain in the ass that they add 10% to the bill just because.

Start off the day with Acidophilus. Taken with a little warm water, speeds up the activation of the good Bacteria.

Nikki’s ‘no-no’s’ for today: Tomato in the soup (I made a batch of soup before I knew that tomatoes were off the list for awhile but I can’t bring myself to tossing out perfectly good soup so I’m volunteering essentially to drag this cleanse out a wee bit longer perhaps)

*when all my tomato entree are finito…I will no longer make new entrees with that one ingredient (ow..)

Candida Tip:  Can’t eat meat?  This will help…
